Research Interests:
  • Quasars: emission and absorption line spectra; damped Lyman alpha absorption
    systems; compact steep-spectrum quasars; quasars as probes of distant clusters.
  • High-redshift radio galaxies: ultra-steep-spectrum selection using updated MRC,
    SUMSS, and NVSS; HzRG environments; rotation measures
  • Clusters of galaxies: searches for relic and halo sources using MOST and SUMSS;
    properties of cluster radio galaxies.
  • Giant radio galaxies: environments, IGM probes; searches for relic radio galaxies.
  • X-ray binaries: radio monitoring (MOST, ATCA), VLBI, optical spectroscopy
  • Starburst and active galaxies: optical and near-infrared diagnostics; unified models;
    radio luminosity function
  • SN 1987A: radio monitoring (MOST)
  • Jupiter: radio monitoring during SL9 collisions and thereafter.
