Modulations associated with subcortical structures

We are interested in patterns in the anatomical structure of the brain.

A brains structure can be represented via a network or graph where each vertex is a particular neuronal group and an edge represents a connection between two components. The connectivity of brain components is then described by the connection matrix of this graph.

Using the continuum model developed by the brain dynamics group we are investigating the relationship between the stability of a brain and patterns within its connection matrix looking for insights into why the brain has its particular anatomical structure.
