- Non-linear Signal Processing

Optical parametric amplification and other nonlinear effects are studied in optical fibres.

  • High power EDFA: up to 4 W CW output.
  • Tunics: Tunable wavelength laser sources with wavelength range from 1465nm to 1570 nm.
  • Nonlinear optical media: corning dispersion shifted fiber with nonlinearity of 2W/km and highly nonlinear dispersion shifted fiber with nonlinearity of 20W/km.
  • Phase modulator: up to 10 GHz LN phase modulator.
  • Fabry-Perot Interferometer: 10GHz FSR and 50 MHz resolution.
  • Access to ps and fs pulse sources at wavelengths around 1550nm
  • Several low power EDFAs
