Laser sources for generating Raman scattering effects in optical waveguides

  • Mode-locked Nd:YAG laser with frequency conversion: 100 MHZ pulse train, 8 ps pulses, ~1W average power (10nJ/pulse, peak power 1.25 kW) in the region of 1420-1480 nm.
  • Mode-locked fibre laser: 100 MHz pulse train of 500 fs pulses at 1560nm, with amplification to 3W average power (30 nJ/pulse, peak power 600 W).
  • Fibre Raman lasers (2): CW output of 5 W at 1455 nm and 1495 nm.
