Dr Chunli Xiong

Bio: Chunle Xiong finished both his Bachelor and Master's degrees in Peking University, China. He joined the Centre for Photonics & Photonic Materials (CPPM) at the University of Bath for his PhD study in 2005 and finished PhD in 2008. During his PhD, he has been working on supercontinuum generation in Photonic Crystal Fibres (PCFs), four-wave mixing (FWM) and applications to PCF based single photon source and optical parametric oscillator. That work included nonlinear PCF design, fabrication, dispersion management and birefringent PCF design, fabrication and simulation as well as nonlinear experiments.

He joined CUDOS in 2008 and started to work on nonlinear photonics in nanowires.
