Vacation Scholarships
Vacation scholarships are offered to currently-enrolled undergraduate students, who are performing at a high academic standard, to enable them to participate in research with one of the research groups in the School of Physics. The maximum duration is 6 weeks within the summer vacation period.
Applicants are advised to consult the Research web pages for information on the many research areas within the School. They should contact a staff member in the relevant area for advice on possible projects. Scholars will receive a tax-free stipend of $500 per week.
All students are encouraged to apply, but preference will be given to undergraduate students in their senior years and those with prior research experience - for example, through the University of Sydney's Talented Student Program or other undergraduate project work.
Applications have now closed for Summer 2009-2010.
