Why get involved? - Alumni Benfits

The School of Physics can provide alumni with access to facilities, activities and people and assistance in other ways such as:

  • Acting as collaborators for research funding, such as Linkage grants
  • Providing access to talented students
  • Providing access to technical expertise
  • Helping to organise reunions
  • Public talks by well-known scientists,
including the School of Physics colloquia

Our alumni also receive the biannual Alumni News and our monthly e-newsletter Alumni Update, as well as invitations to events such as the Foundation's Annual Dinner and other activities.

We also understand that people are busy and want to do something meaningful with their time. As an alumnus, your experience and expertise can make a huge difference. Advising or mentoring current students, guest lectures, career advice and placement, internship opportunities -- these are all examples of how alumni can connect with the School and the Foundation in an important and much valued way.
