Build your own Big Bang: CERN's Large Hadron Collider turns on
| On the 10th of September particles travelled the complete length of the accelerator ring (27km). To mark this occasion a public lecture was held in the Footbridge Theatre at the University of Sydney. Dr Karl and Dr Kevin guided their audience of some 600 attendees on a journey of discovery and wonder. This was complemented by some footage of the big event from CERN. School Colloquium on Dark Matter
On the 18th August there was a School Colloquium entitled Dark Matter, Neutrinos and Beyond by Dr Nicole Bell of the University of Melbourne.

On the 4th August there was a School Colloquium entitled The Large Hadron Collider: An Overview of the Accelerator, Experiments and Physics Programme by Dr Emmanuel Tsesmelis from CERN.
