The majority of Human Resources is now conducted through the School's Web Help Desk.
Appointing Staff
The following staff appointments are to be performed through Web Help Desk:
- Casual Contracts
- Honourary Academic Appointments
- Occupational Trainees - Occupational traineeships are available to students who are enrolled in a university course at an overseas institution. Note that it is advisable to start this process about 3-4 months before the student intends to arrive.
- Regular Contracts
- Visiting Scholar Appointments
- Other
For most appointments, you will need to include the following:
- Duties involved
- Appointment length
- Account code
- Supervisor
Personal details
Personal details can be changed by filling out a form in the Web Help Desk.
Leave applications
Sick and annual leave must be submitted online via myHRonline.
You need to complete a leave application form for all other types of leave. This form can be found at SydneyPeople Forms.
Fill out all details and include the dates and reason of absence from the University.
The HR Shared Services Office does not send your leave form back confirming your leave.
You can view your leave balance, pay slips and banking details and change your personal, emergency and university contact details at myHRonline.
