The (Old) Boss Speaks

Born in Sydney, raised nearby on the Central Coast and then returning to Sydney for his tertiary studies, Cameron is one of the most locally bred members of The University of Sydney OSA Student Chapter. "I'd like to travel extensively at some point, see the richness of Europe or the energy of America. Perhaps I will do a post-doc overseas!"

Cameron graduated from Electrical Engineering at the University of Sydney with a Bachelor's degree, completing his thesis with CUDOS at the Department of Physics. Continuing on from his thesis at CUDOS, he has been working on a PhD there for almost three years, investigating an ensemble of evanescent fields, microfluidics and photonic crystals. Projected to complete his PhD thesis sometime mid-2008, Cameron is looking at potential groups to continue cutting-edge research with.
