Hong wins Science Faculty Academic Achievement and Outreach Prize

Congratulations to Hong Nguyen who has won the Science Faculty Academic Achievement and Outreach Prize. The award will be presented on Wednesday evening at MacLaurin Hall. Hong will be in Baltimore presenting his seminar in the Bookham student prize competition.

Details: Academic Achievement and Outreach:

Up to 1 prize to be awarded annually with a value of $500. The winner will

• be a senior author of a significant, high-quality publication that was accepted for publication within 24 months of starting candidature; and
  
• be able to demonstrate significant outreach activities, for example through engagements with the press, or with schools, or through the promotion of science within the community.
