OZ Lens 2008
Dark Matter, Dark Energy and Dark Ages with Gravitational Lensing

Sydney, Australia 29th September - 3rd October 2008

Conference Description

Since its first observation in 1915, gravitational lensing has become a major astrophysical endeavour. The goal of this meeting will be to provide a view of the latest scientific results in all research areas, from cosmological to galactic scales, with the topics to be covered including

  • Lensing by Large Scale Structure
  • Cluster Lensing
  • Galaxies and Strong Lensing
  • Galaxies and Weak Lensing
  • Lenses as Gravitational Telescopes
  • Cosmological microlensing
  • Galactic microlensing and the search for planets

  • Expected registration costs:
We are seeking to keep costs to a minimum and propose a registration fee of $350 (Aus) to cover local administration, lunches, snacks and a conference dinner at a local restaurant. More details will be available at registration. Hotels will have to be booked by the participants (although there are many available in this tourist city).
