[ASA] Follow-up with ARC on the preprints issue

Dear Colleagues
   the ASA, AIP, RACI and AustMS have recently replied to the ARC
concerning their change in policy on recognising preprints in the Discovery
Program. While the policy change is welcomed, there are still outstanding
issues such as
 -those disqualified as a result of the rule
 -how the rest of the current round of Discovery programs will be affected
by the change of the rule
 -how these rules are implemented, with issues of transparency and
consultation at the fore

   The attached letter has been sent to Professor Sue Thomas, Exec Officer
of the ARC, and is available on the AIP website here

    We will continue to address the issues above.
