Hi everyone,

A reminder that abstract submission<https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/93pyCnx1jniXoBAA1c9T1Kj?domain=forms.gle> for the Australia/eROSITA-DE workshop<https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/U3wtCoV1kpfDzWjj1Izhjkb?domain=astronomyaustralia.org.au> closes next Wednesday 14 February. We encourage all interested to attend and consider submitting an abstract.

With the recent public data release<https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/_GmvCp81lrt98611JuYq62Y?domain=astronomyaustralia.org.au>, it's an exciting time to get involved with the eROSITA collaboration. As you may know, our collaboration with eROSITA-DE supports Australian astronomers to access the deeper, still proprietary, eROSITA data.

The workshop is very accessible - it will be entirely online and there is no registration cost. It's a great opportunity to learn more about this collaboration and x-ray astronomy!

Kind regards,
Kate
On behalf of the AAL/eROSITA-DE Management Committee

Subject: Australia/eROSITA-DE Workshop: 25-27 March 2024

Dear colleagues,

I'm excited to announce the 2024 Australia/eROSITA-DE Workshop<https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/U3wtCoV1kpfDzWjj1Izhjkb?domain=astronomyaustralia.org.au/> which will take place online from 25-27 March 2024.

This online workshop brings together the Australian and German eROSITA/eROSITA-DE communities to collaborate, discuss ongoing projects and foster ideas for new projects. We strongly encourage everyone interested to attend and consider submitting an abstract<https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/0Y6TCq71mwf15wKKxIEE6CQ?domain=forms.gle>.

The eROSITA data offer the opportunity to study extremely energetic events across vast scales in the Universe, from accreting binary systems at stellar scales to 10-million-degree shocks driven by galaxy cluster mergers. However, the full scientific exploitation of the eROSITA data requires a multi-wavelength approach. eROSITA-DE will release data from the first all-sky survey on 31 January 2024. For those unfamiliar with the AAL/eROSITA-DE collaboration, the workshop is an excellent opportunity to learn about the data and brainstorm new projects that combine Australian data with the deeper, still proprietary eROSITA data. The workshop will include a variety of presentations and opportunities for discussion and networking.
