Australian ESO Proposal Workshop 2024 

In anticipation of the impending ESO Period 114 Normal and Large Programmes proposal deadline <https://url.au.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/1FFOCnx1jniXPR59vCJ7Rpo?domain=astronomyaustralia.org.au>  on 21 March 2024, AAL and Australia’s ESO Scientific Technical Committee and Users Committee representatives (Michael Murphy and Sarah Sweet, respectively) would like to invite our community to an on-line ESO proposal writing workshop to be held on Thursday 7 March 2024 from 12:15-1:30pm AEDT (9:15am-10:30pm AWST). Topics to be covered include:

*	Summary of current and imminent ESO instrumentation
*	The Observing Programmes Committee Process
*	Large Programmes process
*	The Dual-Anonymous Proposal & Distributed Peer Review processes

If you are interested in participating in this workshop, please register in advance and complete the short poll questions on the workshop registration form <https://url.au.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/1aFRCmO5glupgQ2yzcGa5R5?domain=docs.google.com> . Prior to the workshop you will then receive an email containing information about joining the meeting. A recording of the workshop will be made available afterwards upon request for anyone unable to join the event live.
