Scintillation Dosimetry

We are developing fibre optic based dosimetry for quality assurance in radiotherapy. Our technology is being licensed by a commercial partner, Radiant LX.

Clinical trials using our dosimeter ‘RFOD’ are underway with 15 patients who are being treated for prostate cancer using brachytherapy.

Our new dosimeter for external beam radiotherapy treatments is the first scintillation dosimeter to eliminate the background signal arising from Cerenkov radiation.
