- Physics graduate jobs. A Sydney University resource full of information for students, teachers and parent about the sort of jobs and careers that are open to you with a degree in Physics.
- Amps The Australian Multimedia for Physics Students website. This project is an interdisciplinary collaboration among physics experts and academics, high school teachers, educational researchers, university students, science communicators, and web design specialists to provide resources and lesson plans linked to syllabus dot points.
- Veritasium, an element of truth. Veritasium is a science video blog which aims to present topics in all areas of science from the simplest to the most complex. The goal is to make scientific ideas clear, accessible, and interesting.
- CAASTRO is the ARC Centre of Excellence for All-sky Astrophysics at the University of Sydney School of Physics.
- CoEPP is the Centre of Excellence for Particle Physics at the Terascale.
- CUDOS research program has two central themes: micro-photonics and nonlinear photonics. CUDOS is an ARC Center of Excellence at the University of Sydney School of Physics.
- WolframAlpha. Computational knowledge engine. Have a look (or have a play) with the incredible power that Wolfram|Alpha has. The smart phone and tablet apps are very powerful and would be a great addition to any student or teacher toolbox. Have fun!
- Zooniverse. Real science online. Zooniverse is a citizen science project where anyone and everyone can contribute to real science. The concept is simple. Log in, follow the instructions on any one of the many science projects, and you are instantly helping scientists with their research. Follow the links to the education page for complete lessons and activities as well.
- Khan Academy. This video resource contains over 2 600 video tutorials on a whole range of things from Astronomy to logic problems. It also has lessons, excersises, badges and rewards. All I can say is WOW! It is people like Sal Khan, who will change education.
- TED. Technology Education and Design, is a magnificent resource of inspiring and thoughtful talks from all over the world. TED hosts presentations about all subjects. My favourites include Hans Rosling, Neil deGresse Tyson, Brian Cox and Bobby Mcferan (he's the guy that sang "Don't wory, be happy!").
