The Molonglo Radio Observatory

The observatory is a:
- 3 hour drive from Sydney. (directions from Sydney to the Molonglo Observatory)
- 50 mins from Canberra airport, and a
- 30 mins drive from Queanbeyan
Travel between Queanbeyan and the Observatory
A 21-seater mini-bus will be available to take delegates to and from the Queensgate Motel to the Molonglo Observatory
Wed 16th Sept - the mini-bus will be starting at Canberra Airport to meet flight QF803 from Sydney at 8:15 before stopping at the Queensgate Motel (around 8:45am) and then directly to Molonglo. The bus will return delegates to Queanbeyan in the evening.
Thurs 17th – the mini-bus will collect people from the Queensgate Motel at 8:20am. The bus will bring people back to Queanbeyan after lunch at 1:30pm.
Please could you let myself or Adrian Blake (a.blake@physics.usyd.edu.au) know as soon as possible if you will need to be collected from the airport on Wed 16th at 8:15am.
Travel to Queanbeyan - Options:
By Train - Country Link Trains. Around $100 return from Sydney to Queanbeyan.
By Bus - Greyhound Buses. Under $40 return from Sydney to Canberra.
By Air - Virgin Blue Airlines. Sydney to Canberra from $130 return.
