### OBSDATE ### 20091216 ### LOGDATE ### 091217 ### OBSERVERS ### Mike and Yitping ### WEATHER ### Clear, a little windy (but not quite enough to turn our weather station wind thing) ### LOCATION ### SUSI ### PROGRAM ### Check that things still work after our optics changes, and see if there are any obvious signs in PAVO data of binarity for eta CMa ### SIDEROSTATS ### n3 s1 ### TARGETS ### HR 2491, 2827, 2294 and other cals. No fringes on HR 2498. Possibly there was something wrong with this target? It looked much fainter than 4.5. ### PROBLEMS ### 1) We aligned the North beam T/T mirror on the laser, and then had to un-do our alignment on-sky, because the beam was barely going through the mask. 2) The PAVO background value for tip/tilt continues to change, meaning that PAVO locks tip/tilt on to noise. 3) North would _always_ lose the star when the pellicle went through the beam. 4) S1 had major tracking failures... moving off a long way in azimuth. 5) With bad seeing early in the night on sirius, we realized that it would be a great idea to have the tip/tilt mirror positions saved. 6) Left the apertures in for Sirius early in the evening. AND the aperture gui is still back to front (north and south).
