Power issues in Mike Hill email, plus the following (at 20-30 dec C):
1) The S1 indexing problem remains. It seems that it DOES index (i.e. jump to 000) but doesn't seem to read the absolute encoder. At least this is easier to bugshoot (check voltages and swap electronics)
2) S2 would intermittently die.
