### OBSDATE ### 20110209 ### LOGDATE ### 110210 ### OBSERVERS ### YK ### WEATHER ### Humidity ~50-60%. Clear moonless sky! ### LOCATION ### ROCS ### PROGRAM ### To collect fringe data on PAVO and MUSCA. ### SIDEROSTATS ### n3 s1 ### TARGETS ### hr2326 ### PROBLEMS ### Roofgtk indicated N4 and S3 had bad roofs. North laser current were bad. North metrology signal was very low initally but recovered with picogtk. South laser current toggled between bad and 'ok' in a random but repeated manner. Both lasers' frequency readings indicated stable but the South metrology signal on oscilloscope is shifting left to right ~4s period. Problem fixed after reset. Xwindows on rocs crashed FOUR times halfway during the session. Initial suspect was the screensaver. Changed the triggering idle time to be 2hrs but it kept crashing randomly. Finally found the culprit. It was nxclient. Warning for others, do not use nxclient on rocs if this bug is not fixed!! LDC button in the server folder is not working still. Taskmaster@rocs was stuck and kept looking for LDC. Used taskmaster@peleas instead. Star pupil on the fringe box is off center. Probably due to no pupil alignment being done. Found fringes with PAVO around -70um. If the tracking of fringes indicates the quality of seeing, then tonight is not a good night. Fringes were also observed with MUSCA. Recorded 500 secs?? (itime 500 500 500) worth of fringes data on PAVO and MUSCA.
