### OBSDATE ### 20110311 ### LOGDATE ### 110312 ### OBSERVERS ### BAW, YK ### WEATHER ### Clear but 85% humidity. A lot of scintillation in the atmosphere as the stars appeared to twinkle a lot. ### LOCATION ### SUSI ### PROGRAM ### To train SUSI on a star after a recent optical alignment ### SIDEROSTATS ### n3 s1 ### TARGETS ### hr 2326 hr 5459 ### PROBLEMS ### The roof at N3 was closing automatically. We found that it is due to the smaller UPS we had replaced yesterday since its original one had died. The problem was fixed after we bypass the UPS and power N3 directly from the mains. We managed to obtain North beam back to PAVO. The (North) science beam still looked a bit skewed to the left of the box. Do we adjust the PUPIL picomotor?? This may be a question to Mike. That's before we discovered that the tip/tilt system is not working. BAW checked the PAVO 5V output to the tip/tilt amplifier and found to be zero. No tip/tilt was sent hence the north tip/tilt beam just can't stay in the box. We soldered a flimsy ground connection on the tip/tilt adapter. It did not fix the problem. Humidity was steadily rising, so we decided to call it a day.
