### OBSDATE ### 20110505 ### LOGDATE ### 110505 ### OBSERVERS ### YK, XH ### WEATHER ### Clear sky, RH~60 ### LOCATION ### SUSI ### PROGRAM ### We aim at resolving disk around Be stars and following their growth decay phases. ### SIDEROSTATS ### n4 s1 ### TARGETS ### The darkness of the siderostat hut ### PROBLEMS ### The following error message occurred after typing "pin" : N4 periscope failed to start, power off As N4 periscope is known to read back incorrectly, we pointed at a star. And the siderostat didn t move but the oplc was going towards the North end. After making a "stop", the oplc was already at 81 meters North and was not responding to any command. The south metrology signal was low. We may have lost the metrology at one moment and the cart may have kept on slewing as it already happened in the past. So, we used the "plc_rst" button in K108. We got the oplc server back but impossible to move the cart away from its "non-optimal position". When doing a "cab_reset", the metrology signal showed that the cart was slewing before stopping and slewing again until the message "Failed to complete reset in time" appeared. We tried several unsuccessful things. On top of that, for a mysterious reason, the N4 roof status turned to BAD. Fortunately, we could close the roof.
