### OBSDATE ### 20120328 ### LOGDATE ### 120328 ### OBSERVERS ### YK ### WEATHER ### RH 64% (at 21:30), partially cloudy only at the start. ### LOCATION ### REMOTE ### PROGRAM ### Collect data for MUSCA ### SIDEROSTATS ### n1 s2 ### TARGETS ### HR 4853 ### QUALITY ### Average ### PROBLEMS ### The North periscope indicated 'IN' initially but after waiting for a while and a 'nin' and 'nout' command, it became 'OUT'. N1 found the star almost immediately. Model offset = -80,-43". S2 took a longer time to find the star tonight. Model offset = 60",95". Fringes found around -150-170um. Fringecon jitter was about ~10us throughout the observation. This is good but no idea why this is so. PAVO cannot accept both green laser and a bright star (HR4853) at a gain of 150 even with ND4. Tried a lower gain, 130, and PAVO was happy. The NX display (on rocs) became very sluggish at the end of my observation. All the servers were launched from the NX session while almost all clients (except muscagtk, skymongtk and metrologygtk) are run locally on my computer. I lost the display and the control of the NX session completely. Ben suspected a memory leak problem because the memory usage was at full capacity when I lost the display. I had to close the roofs and stow the sids through telnet sessions. Command ports come in handy at time like this. Pavo, fringecon, and the sids servers were stop and in idle state before the NX session was force terminated.
