### OBSDATE ### 20120612 ### LOGDATE ### 120613 ### OBSERVERS ### MJI ### WEATHER ### Clear ### LOCATION ### SUSI ### PROGRAM ### Try just a little observing, checking out the system etc given the lack of recent obs ### SIDEROSTATS ### n1 n3 s2 ### TARGETS ### HR 4853 - could not acquire on N1 ### QUALITY ### Quite bad (no/almost no useful data ### PROBLEMS ### North 1 siderostat once needed an elevation reindex, and then could not acquire. Needs to be looked at in autocollimation in the daytime. taskmaster needed a "reopen" on each acquire. This has to relate to the USyd recent socket/firewall thing. Fringes on N3S2 found at ** -3050 **. Fringes were quite poor, consistent with the high (often > 0.5 micron) cart errors. An "aoffset -1" was needed to zero dispersion. The OPD error remained bad for HR 6252. On shut-down, 365 microns remained. TODO: 1) Find the N1 problem by auto-collimating in the day. Restrict evening observations to near-transit on short baselines for now. 2) Track stars in the daytime on the opcon, to see if one end dominates the error signal, or at what speed things go bad.
