### OBSDATE ### 20130105 ### LOGDATE ### 130106 ### OBSERVERS ### MJI, YK ### WEATHER ### Clear, warm, low winds ### LOCATION ### SUSI ### PROGRAM ### Originally, get the last of Rob de Rosa's stars then a MUSCA binary. But we had problems with siderostats (see below) so tried a baseline that hasn't been tried in a while (60m North) with a more accurate beta Ori diameter just for fun before the MUSCA binary. ### SIDEROSTATS ### n1 n3 n4 s2 ### TARGETS ### bet ori... problems. HR 1790 (Bellatrix, air offset -2). HR 1713 (Rigel) HR 1702 HR 1702 (after another "tg", moving the air offset from -2 to -4) HR 1713 (air offset at -3..fringes now at -720. Drifting negative). HR 1735. Fringes extremely weak, but good on MUSCA (oops, no MUSCA saving). HR 1998. A better cal. Same brightness as the previous one... *** HR 1852. Air offset -2. Lots of MUSCA data on this. ### QUALITY ### Average ### PROBLEMS ### N3 motor stalled, probably because it got stuck during roof close last night. Then the motor couldn't move the siderostat, and we couldn't find an imperial allen key to re-attach the gear. N1's indexing problems have returned. Neither axis will index. No torches with batteries so we'll wait until tomorrow.
