### OBSDATE ### 20130420 ### LOGDATE ### 130421 ### OBSERVERS ### MJI, ACR ### WEATHER ### Fine, seeing seems to be ok ### LOCATION ### SUSI ### PROGRAM ### Testing of siderostat pointings and image quality ### SIDEROSTATS ### n1 s1 ### TARGETS ### Bet-Cru to test Despite not changing the North focus today. The image quality of N1 is quite bad, with the ideal focus(265000) being at a position away from what was the ideal focus last night(245000). The flux through the mask also seems to be significantly lower (10000) and 13000 on tip/tilt. Fluxes: N1: 10000 Tip/tilt 13000 S1: 20000 Tip/tilt 13000 Focus: N1: 265000 S1 : 81000 (same as last night) S1 pointing offsets : 210, 72 N1+S1 fringes at 1000um. Note: Need to increase the speed of the spiral search Switched to N3 to check if image quality in the north changes between sid N3 offsets (11, -167) quite different from last nights offsets... S1 offsets (235, 97) Fluxes: N3: 9000 Tip/tilt 17000 S1: 16000 Tip/tilt 12000 N3+S1 fringes at 590um. Trying S4 acqusition now (1:35am) Star acquired at (-242, -25) N1+S4 fringes at ~400um Gain set to 200 Now onto Bet-Cen: offsets (-392, -29). Fringes at 360um. Double fringe packet seen. Alf-Lup (hr 5469): Fringes at um. (north 1 seem 2.5 times as bright as S4 on tip/tilt) No fringes found. One issue was that the crown wedge hit a limit. ### QUALITY ### Average Quite bad (no/almost no useful data ### PROBLEMS ###
