### OBSDATE ### 20131213 ### LOGDATE ### 131214 ### OBSERVERS ### MJI ### WEATHER ### Mostly clear (occasional annoying thin clouds), 36% humidity on ATCA, 45% on weathermon. 7 km/hr ATCA wind... barely registering on SUSI. ### LOCATION ### Home ### PROGRAM ### Nova Cen ### SIDEROSTATS ### n3 s2 ### TARGETS ### HR 3685 HR 5358 (poor fringes...) HR 9110 (H-alpha now clearly visible, much brighter than HR 5358) HR 5132 HR 9110 HR 5463 ### QUALITY ### Very good (several calibrated points) ### PROBLEMS ### S3 elevation was inoperable. It did move, but the encoder didn't show anything. S2 needed a hard reset to start. N3 crashed on shutdown (something about park.... maybe if the siderostats are tracking). Reasonable beta Car fringes (up to 25 sec continuous locks) at -1050 S2 offsets -9 -9 (i.e. near perfect) N3 offsets 35 -160 Nova fringes at about -990 Realtime peak V^2 about 0.14 for Nova Cen, about 0.2 for alf Cir... 5:30am was the limit for tracking the Nova, due to tip/tilt flux from the sky becoming comparable to the Nova itself.
