### OBSDATE ### 20140808 ### LOGDATE ### 140814 ### OBSERVERS ### KWD ### WEATHER ### Mostly clear, low humidity (~50% SUSI), no wind ### LOCATION ### Home ### PROGRAM ### Nearby B-star multiplicity survey (KWD) ### SIDEROSTATS ### n3 s1 ### TARGETS ### HR 6500 - B-star, gain at ~200 HR 6897 - Calib.1 HR 6500 - B-star HR 6743 - Calib. 2 HR 6500 - B-star (data possibly not saved?) rocs crash! (with simultaneous k108 crash) ### QUALITY ### Quite bad (no/almost no useful data ### PROBLEMS ### Camera started at +12C, but cooled down to -25C. Also had to restart vidcons (using commands in /etc/rc.local). Had some difficulty keeping south on PAVO; increased gain with "sttgain" command of 0.7 in both x and y directions (was 0.6) and adjusted the south tip tilt mirror. Around ~1:30 am, rocs crashed mid-observing. Mike logged into silliac the following morning and everything had shut down OK: it appears K108 had also gone down around the same time, but it was somehow able to close the roofs and stop the siderostats and cart from tracking before crashing. (Note: This log is a couple days late; as of yesterday - 20140812 - rocs is back up and running, thanks Peter and Vicente!)
