SGT Simulation

SGT behavior has been demonstrated by numerical simulations using both a quasilinear (QL) code & a reduced parameter model (RPM). In QL simulation, field statistics of beam-driven Langmuir waves shows good agreement with SGT predictions, in the presence of plasma density fluctuations.

In the RPM, unlike the QL model, detailed phase space dependence is ignored, and only spatial and temporal evolution of the plasma system is studied.

We have shown that wave field statistics in the presence of plasma inhomogeneities is also in very good agreement with SGT predictions.
