Method for setting up apparatus :
- Drill a hole in the wood, often stopping the drilling to measure
the temperature (T) with a thermometer.
Accessories (ie posters etc) :

Conversion of work to heat.
How to use the Demonstration :
- Drill the wood (having clamped dowel or holding it by hand) and
show the increase in temperature caused by the drilling friction.
Everyday examples :
- Ice skating (friction between the skate and the ice surface).
