1. When a gas is expanded what happens to the temperature of the gas?
2. In terms of the molecules in the gas explain why the temperature of the gas decreases.
3. How could you predict the change in temperature ?
4. If the gas is compressed rather than expanded its temperature increases. In terms of the molecules in the gas explain why the temperature of the gas increases. (work is not the answer I want)
5. Can you describe a situation where the temperature of the gas does not change during an expansion or compression? (looking for the word isothermal expansion)
