Waves lie at the heart of science and technology, conveying information, transmitting energy and interacting with us and our environment in important ways. Wave science underpins research and technology across diverse fields. Often these fields have developed separately, with each evolving its own techniques. In the Center for Wave Physics we attempt to integrate expertise in the various components of wave science to generate new insights into fundamental science across disciplines. Research impact is maximized by applying specific techniques in multiple situations, and by using insights from multiple fields to solve individual problems.
