The Upper Tasman Glacier

Looking up the Tasman glacier from the Anzac peaks. De La Beche ridge stretches away between the two main valleys to the Minarets (3040m) - a loooong climb - and Elie de Beaumont (3105m?) is in the cloud in the distance. Hochstetter Dome is hte snowy dome at the head of the glacier. The vertical scale of the Southern Alps makes for some spectacular viewpoints!
