DATE: Mon, 3 Aug 2009 11:55:12 +1000 SUBJECT: 2009 AAO and Gemini Summer Studentships now open The Anglo-Australian Observatory, and the Australian Gemini Office (on behalf of Astronomy Australia Ltd) are pleased to announce the following exciting research opportunities for undergraduate students who have completed at least two years of an undergraduate degree in Physics, Maths, Astronomy or Engineering. We would be grateful if ASA members could bring these to the attention of any suitably experienced undergraduates they may be teaching or supervising, and encourage them to apply for one (or both) programs. Australian Gemini Undergraduate Summer Studentships --------------------------------------------------- Students will spend 10 weeks in the period Dec 2009 - Feb 2010 based in La Serena, Chile carrying out a research project under the supervision of Gemini South researchers.
