DATE: Tue, 8 Dec 2009 21:53:12 +1100 SUBJECT: AAO Distinguished Visitor announcement The AAO is pleased to announce that we have instituted a Distinguished Visitor Scheme, to strengthen and enhance the AAO's visibility both locally and internationally, and to provide opportunities for AAO staff and other Australian astronomers to benefit from longer term collaborative visits by distinguished international colleagues. The AAO will typically award one or two Distinguished Visitorships annually. To celebrate the inaugural round of the Distinguished Visitor Scheme, and to promote the new scheme, the AAO has awarded four Visitorships to occur during 2010.
