DATE: Sun, 13 Sep 2009 23:05:10 +1000 SUBJECT: Future Gemini Instrumentation Survey Australian Future Gemini Instrumentation Survey The Gemini Instrument Working Group and the Gemini Science Committee have put forward a range of possible new instrumentation for the Gemini Telescopes over the next five years. The options being discussed are as follows: A cross-dispersed high-resolution near IR echelle spectrograph; A high-resolution optical echelle spectrograph; A medium resolution 0.3-2.5 micron spectrograph; An OH-suppressing Integral Field Unit; and Upgrades to GMOS, ALTAIR and NIRI, plus some part of Ground Layer AO. We have assembled a short survey on these options to gauge the preferences of the Australian Gemini user community. Your response to this survey is totally voluntary and anonymous.
