SUBJECT: International Body Officeholders 2009


The National Committee for Astronomy's annual report to the Council of  
the Academy needs to include a list of all Australian astronomers who  
hold offices in ICSU (International Council of Scientific Unions) and  
affiliated bodies (IAU, URSI, CODATA, etc.). We are to include "all  
appointed/elected memberships of subsidiary bodies, standing  
committees, commissions etc. as well as appointments to Bureau/ 
Executive positions in the governing body". Note, however, that  
"commissions" here does not mean Commissions in the usual IAU sense  
(where everyone is a member of some Commission). The attached list is  
a (slightly updated) version of last year's submission, which shows  
the sorts of things to be included. Please email any additions,  
corrections or updates for this list to me (colless@aao.gov.au) by  
c.o.b. on Monday, 21 December.
