DATE: Wed, 25 Nov 2009 11:14:25 +1100 SUBJECT: Re: 10th Torino Workshop on AGB Nucleosynthesis 10th Torino Workshop on AGB Nucleosynthesis Hi all We have about 30 registrations to date but would be pleased to receive more through http://www.phys.canterbury.ac.nz/Conferences/torino_xth/. Chris Tout would be particularly pleased to receive abstracts for presentations by the November 30 deadline so that the Scientific Organising Committee can prepare a scientific programme. As previously indicated the Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Canterbury will be providing sponsorship to support the registration costs for up to 15 students attending this meeting (we have 7 allocated to date), but only those students who have a support letter from their supervisor and a relevant presentation (talk or poster) approved by the Scientific Organising Committee, will be approved for this workshop. We will also be publishing the workshop proceedings. The editorial team is Clare Worley, Richard Stancliffe and Chris Tout. Once again this email is being sent to all those who responded to the initial preliminary request, plus a few extras. Please feel free to distribute it to others who may be interested in this meeting Cheers. Peter Cottrell on behalf of the Organising Committees. ****************************************************************************** Associate Professor Peter Cottrell Dean of Science & Beatrice Tinsley Institute Dept of Physics & Astronomy University of Canterbury Director University of Canterbury Southern African Large Telescope Board Private Bag 4800 Cape Town, SOUTH AFRICA Christchurch NEW ZEALAND phone +64 3 364 2532; fax +64 3 364 2469 email peter.cottrell@canterbury.ac.nz web http://www.phys.canterbury.ac.nz ****************************************************************************** Visit Rutherford's Den in The Arts Centre of Christchurch http://www.rutherfordsden.org.nz/ This email may be confidential and subject to legal privilege, it may not reflect the views of the University of Canterbury, and it is not guaranteed to be virus free.
