Continuing Australia's important role in space

Australian science as the backbone of planetary exploration

This concept of a collaborative organisation provides a readily achievable foothold into the well-established Big Science investment of NASA and ESA involvement in deep space exploration, that takes advantage of unique Australian capabilities currently leading the world in specific technologies likely to become essential to deep space exploration.

The Australian technology enabling the return of data from deep space missions becomes critical to those missions.

Such involvement has the potential to make Australia an important partner in the exploration of the planets, gaining access to the data for research into many fields opened up by such exploration.
