I like to keep things pretty exciting when I'm not doing astronomy. Here are links to info about my hobbies / interests.
Skydiving
I first jumped out of a perfectly good airplane in November of 1998. I loved it so much, I kept doing it and went through a student training program. I now have over 350 jumps, am part of a 4-way FS team "Booty Surf", and enjoy flying through the sky with my Stiletto 135. On a clear, calm summer weekend you can be sure to find me jumping out of a Twin Otter down at Skydive Chicago... |
Ice Hockey
I've been playing ice hockey for a few years. These days you can find me on the ice for intramurals, summer leagues, and pick-up games. |
Ultimate Disc
When it warms up outside, I play ultimate disc. It's a lot like soccer, but with a frisbee. I played with the U. Toledo Disc-I's as an undergrad. Now I play in intramurals, fall and summer leagues, and plenty of pickup games. |
Snowboarding
When winter in Madison takes over, it's time to throw myself down snow-covered hills with a board on my feet.
