More about me...

I was a Michelson Postdoctoral Fellow in Planetary Science at Caltech, with Shri Kulkarni as my sponsor. My work centered around developing the technique of optical interferometry so that it will be capable of characterizing exoplanets and the environments in which they form.

My thesis work at the University of Sydney was a little varied and the final title was ``Optical Interferometry and Mira Variable Stars''. To download the final copy as accepted in December 2005, click here (2.7 MB). I enjoyed spending most of 2004 based in Narrabri to work primarily on SUSI - a long baseline optical interferometer designed primarily to measure the diameters of stars. Although some may say I work a little too much, I found the time in April 2004 to marry Ally (see the wedding pictures link below or click here). We enjoy hiking when we get the chance on weekends, and have spent time rock-climbing and skiing in a distant past where there seemed to be much more leisure time...
