Heidelberg: Day 4
31/8/07
So here we go again!
I'm pretty exhausted after 9 (pretty much straight) days of lectures,
but I've managed to squeeze in some time to put up some more pics of
things I've seen each day. It's now Thursday (6/9/07) while I'm
writing this since I haven't been able to get any time to myself to
put anything more on here. I'm off to Strasbourg at 9am to spend a
week with Rodrigo who I'm very much looking forward to meeting!
Anyway, on with the pics from day 4 in Heidelberg.
After seeing all of
these you might wonder if we got any work done during this School at
all but we didn't spend ALL our time at Destille I promise!
A great

absolutely LOVE the architecture in this city!

Again.. Although not as much as we did on
the second last (?) evening. That pic will come later, but we took over
this
brewery for an hour or two tonight.
We had to sit outside in the
rain due to sheer numbers but we didn't mind too much!
If you're
wondering why there are so many of us out on a school night it's
because Ben Moore (pics of him soon) invited everyone out on a School
Night to have drinks with him!
We should have known better than to
take him up on it..
On our
way to Destille again which became a bit of a favourite hangout
for some of us.

THIS is what Destille looks like on a Friday night!
We'd only
been there briefly on a weeknight before this.
It's nearly
impossible to get inside to order a bier or go to the loo let me tell
you!
Looking the other way up the same laneway. It's a pretty popular
drinking strip this one.
It's getting a bit crowded by this stage!
This must be
the only plaace I've ever seen where you can buy
bier by
the metre!
Here we have Zeta, Stefania, and two people I never
got the names of! Sorry you two, there were so many people and so many
names to remember that I was bound to forget someone's!

I told you Ben Moore was a bad
influence! We would not have gone there without his "leadership"!
And so we come to the end of another day.. Tomorrow was going to be
difficult but we'd manage. We may have even learned something if we
stayed awake!
Actually It wasn't too painful and the lectures kept us
awake most of the day..
