Early Career Research Showcase
What is it?
After the success of the inaugural Early Career Research Showcase in 2008, we are running it again in 2009. The Showcase is an afternoon of short talks, aimed at a general audience, by early career research fellows from across the University. This is a chance to find out about the exciting research being done in the University, and to meet and talk to other researchers.
The Showcase is supported by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research), Professor Jill Trewhella, and will be opened by the Vice-Chancellor Dr Michael Spence.
See the program and abstracts for more information.
When is it?
The Showcase will be held on Monday September 28th, from 2 pm to 5:30 pm. There will be plenty of opportunity to discuss the talks and network over drinks and nibbles throughout the afternoon.
Where is it?
The Showcase will be on the main campus in the Eastern Avenue Lecture Theatre.
Who can attend?
All early career research fellows (within 10 years of PhD) are welcome to submit an abstract. Talks will be selected to maximise the diversity of research disciplines represented throughout the University. If you would like to give a talk, please submit your abstract through our online registration form by Friday August 28th.
Any University of Sydney staff and students are welcome to attend. For catering purposes we ask that you register using our online form by Friday September 18th.
