Coupled Bright and Dark Solitons in a Plasma Slab

Abstract
It is shown that in the regime where the antisymmetric surface waves in
a plasma slab have negative group dispersion, nonlinear coupling of the
symmetric and antisymmetric surface modes can lead to the formation of
a quasistationary localized structure which is a combination of a bright
and dark envelope soliton.
