This page described how to display a structure used in a CMU simulation in matlab or similar plotting software.
==Extract the cylinder boundaries==
Open your structure file in Winfield. Click more options, then "write pos file..." at the top right. Enter an appropriate file name, eg formatlab.dat. Click  'ok'.

Winfield will now write a text file containing 7 columns:
 r theta radius ( Re(eps), Im(eps) ) a b

where each line describes an inclusion. 
r,theta are the cylindrical coordinates of the centre of the cylinder, radius is the radius of the cylinder. ( Re(eps), Im(eps) ) are the real and imaginary part of the permittivity of the inclusion, and a and b are integer numbers of no relevance for the present purpose.

If a cladding and jacket are present, two final lines will give their coordinates and radius.

==Importing in matlab==
You will need to write a matlab routine to read the above file and draw the appropriate circles in your matlab figure.
