Fibre (fibre.exe) is the piece of software performing all simulations, running in MS windows environments. It is a command line software, executing keywords in the parameters.txt file. To run it simply type fibre.exe in a command window in which the $path variable contains c:\program files\cudos. The fibre console prompt is such a command window. Fibre will execute in the current directory.

Fibre can find modes of a structure, track a mode with changing wavelength (dispersion calculation) or changing structure (using the 'track with perturbation' keyword).

The general syntax of parameter files can be found in Syntax and structure of the parameter file.

An interface for emacs is also available. When using the 'par' environment in emacs, simply press C-c-C-c to run a simulation, and C-c-k-k to stop a simulation.
