Transportation to/from the airport

The easiest way from the airport to the city is by train, Sydney AirportLink. Take the airport line train to Central station. From there, you can walk (~20 minutes) or get a bus that stops in the centre of the Camperdown/Darlington campus. The relevant bus stop names are “Chippendale, Central Station, Railway Square (stand L/M)” to “Darlington City Rd before Butlin Av”, and there are many routes including 422, 423, 426, 428, M30. Buses in Sydney are often prepay only, for which you will need an Opal Card (available at the airport station). The fare for the train will be approx $20, plus about $3 for the bus. Or you can take a taxi/uber from the airport for approx $30, depending on traffic.

For detailed information on transport please visit the website of the Transport for NSW.

Accommodation Options

Here are a few suggestions regarding local accommodation:

https://www.veriu.com.au/camperdown/en/ - this is a 5 minute walk from campus, apparently they offer free bikes. There are quite a few cafes around here and it is not far to get to Broadway shopping centre and Glebe Point Road for more restaurants etc.

Both of the above are on Missenden Road, Camperdown so close walking distance to the Uni. The second option is apartments if this is a preferred option.

https://www.collectionisthotel.com.au/ This is a more quirky boutique hotel with individually styled rooms and a digital check in system where you get to select the room of your preference and no check out. Again very close to the Uni, quiet and reasonably priced.

If you would like something closer to the CBD there is the Mercure which is near central station so at the south end of the CBD it is a 5 min bus ride to the Uni:

The options above are between $150 and $250 per night.

There are also lots of Airbnbs listed locally which do offer cheaper options, but these are more personal choice!
