[ASA] Congratulations to Mark Stickells and Katerina Miljkovic

Dear All,

Please join me in congratulating Mr Mark Stickells (AM) and Dr Katarina Miljkovic (OAM) who received awards in last week’s Australian Honours list.

Their citations read as follows.

Mr Mark Stickells, Member of the Order of Australia (AM):
“For significant service to science, particularly information technology, and to the community.”

Dr Katarina Miljkovic, Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM):
“For service to science as a researcher.”

This recognises dedicated service from Mark and Katarina. Mark is a long-standing ASA member, and has contributed to our community in a variety of roles including as Director of Pawsey, as well as Treasurer of Science and Technology Australia (STA). Katarina is a planetary scientist who in 2022 inspired minds around the country as the Australian Institute of Physics (AIP) Women in Physics Lecturer.
