Dear colleagues,

On behalf of the ACAMAR<https://url.au.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/fEUSCq71mwf1EJ5V2SZMjC2?domain=acamar.org.au> Advisory Committee, I am pleased to announce a call for Round 3, part 2 applications for the ACAMAR Visiting Fellowship program<https://url.au.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/1G4BCr81nytrk4vWmHzxN-F?domain=acamar.org.au>. Applications close at 11pm AEST on Wednesday 10 April 2024.

About the Visiting Fellowship program
This call follows two successful rounds in 2020-21 and 2022-23. It will enable distinguished Chinese researchers to make extended visits to Australia in 2024 and enhance collaborations on areas of common interest within astronomy, astrophysics and cosmology.

Successful applicants will have the opportunity to visit Australia for up to three months and are encouraged to visit multiple institutions. Financial support of up to $15k (AUD) per applicant is available to cover travel and living expenses. Co-investment from Host Institutions is highly valued. Applicants are responsible for securing the approval of their home institutions to undertake the ACAMAR Visiting Fellowship. This includes securing a visa to visit Australia and authorisation to conduct collaborative research.

Host Institution responsibilities
Please note that Host Institutions are responsible for assisting the applicant when applying for the Fellowship, and, if successful, supporting them before, during, and after the visit, including administering Fellowship funds. Host Institution responsibilities are outlined here<https://url.au.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/MGDJCvl1rKiEYr6RlCzvlv9?domain=acamar.org.au>.

I encourage you to consider whether your institution would be interested in hosting a Visiting Fellow. Please share this opportunity with your Chinese collaborators. For more information, see the following pages:
